Delegal Cottage

**** Brand new to the vacation rental market July 2020****

Welcome to the Delegal Cottage. This home is located on the Southend of Saint Simons Island, Georgia and is walking distance from The Saint Simons Village area. This home has four bedrooms and two and one half baths. The master bedroom is situated with a queen bed, double vanity sink, walk in shower and claw foot tub. The first guest bedroom which is located above the garage is situated with a full bed, working desk and a sitting area that has a large couch and chair. The second guest room has a fulll bed and shares a bathroom with guest bedroom three which has a full bed, a built in twin bed and a trundle underneath.

The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you and your guest will need during your visit. All appliance are stainless and include microwave, gas stove top, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and a Keurig. There is an eating bar that seats four and a dining table that seats six. The living area is very spacious with large couch, sitting chairs and a large flatscreen television. Located on the main floor is a half bath and also a wet bar. 

For outside entertainment there is an open air front porch complete with bedswing and two swivel rockers. There is a small screened porch off of living area overlooking pool also. Downstairs poolside you have a covered cook out area complete with seating for six, a propane grill and also a smoker. The pool is 20 feet long by 11 feet wide. There are several lounge chairs and sitting chairs around pool area. There are also two fire pits. One is propane and the other is wood burning. (Wood can be purchased at several local stores.)

** The garage is off limits to guest. However there is a gate beside the garage that you can enter to store bicycles, kayaks, beach chairs and more. 

 Check in is at 4:00 pm and check out is at 10:00 am NO exceptions. Please do not arrive at the property early. We have cleaning staff and other employees trying to prepare the property for your arrival. All guests that arrive prior to 4:00pm or check out later than 10:00 am will be charged one additional night

Georgia Beach Rentals would like to make your vacation as stress free as possible. Services that we offer for an additional charge include bike rentals, golf cart rentals, kayak tours, fishing excursions, sunset cruises, island trolley tours and much more. We can also have one of the local island chefs come to your home and prepare a meal for you and your guests. **Any of these services will need a seven to ten day advance notice during the summer season.**

 

Georgia Beach Rentals also offers a grocery shopping service. For an additional fee, we will grocery shop for you and deliver to your home prior to your arrival. ** This service needs a 48 hour advance notice.**

Each of our properties comes with the following

Linens, towels, dishes, standard kitchenware, hairdryer, an iron, and wireless internet/cable television services. So you won’t have to start your vacation with a trip to the store, we supply you with the following essentials:
2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
1 roll of paper towels
2 trash bags
2 laundry detergent pods
2 dishwasher soap pods
1 bar of soap in each bathroom
Liquid hand soap
Liquid dish soap


Guest Reviews:

This cottage was the perfect spring break getaway for our family. The house was well-cleaned upon our arrival and appeared as shown in the photos. We opted to heat the pool and the kids spent much of their time in it. The beach is walkable but not all the roads have sidewalks so we opted to drive most of the time. We also rented bikes nearby and enjoyed a day trip to Jekyll Island. We had one minor plumbing issue with the shower and Benji responded immediately. We were very happy with our stay here and would recommend it to others.

The Delegal Cottage was just as advertised and did not disappoint. My family enjoyed our week on SSI and the house was a big part of the trip. First the location is ideal, a short walk to the village which is ideal since parking is very limited in the village. Second the house is ideal for a family, the beds and bedrooms are very nice and most of the mattresses are super comfortable. The outdoor space around the pool is great, it is secluded from neighbors and very enjoyable. My family will definitely be back in the future, we loved SSI and the Delegal Cottage.

This house was perfect for our crew - two families with a total of four kids, 6 and under. The pool and back yard space were amazing. The pool has a shallow end for little kids and enough of a deep end for bigger kids to jump in. The outdoor space is great for lunches and dinners. The location was close to the village, grocery stores and only a short golf cart ride to the beach (not included, definitely rent one!). The only thing we wished for were bigger beds! Not a huge issue but make sure you are aware before you get there. We would stay here again on another trip!

Great Getaway Spot!
Our first time on St. Simons and this was a perfect house for it - 10 minute walk tops to restaurants and shops, short drive to Southern Soul BBQ and a great pool. We had a blast and loved the house, great kitchen and great location!

Beautiful House
This house is beautiful with a great pool and had everything we needed for our stay. The only negative is the bedroom above the garage doesn't have easy access to a full bathroom.
